I tried a few new things recently…
It’s nice and all to be stuck in your ways (hello mouth-watering peanut butter banana smoothies and fave cheeky bikini bottoms) BUT a little bit of variety is necessary for health reasons as well as personal growth.
If you don’t care about either, stick to that cheese pizza of yours and 18-year-old threadbare pajama top.
I could care less.
But if you do enjoy novel ideas, throw some grapes in the freezer, toss a handful of those frozen suckers in a light, refreshing smoothie, then chuck chilled Tuscan melon in there with the fascinating icy globes before obliterating the thing to liquid perfection.
Yeah.
For this smoothie scene, I went with frozen green grapes, along with frozen–very ripe–banana slices, juicy Tuscan melon (that I’d cubed and refrigerated the night before), as well as unsweetened original almond milk since we do need some liquid to get this thing going.
Top your fruity drank off with toasted almonds because protein and a little fat are always appreciated around here.
P.S. Well wtf is a Tuscan melon? It’s pretty much a cantaloupe with vertical green stripes. (That was probably a semi-bad description, sorry.) So yes you can use a regular ole cantaloupe if you can’t find the boujee Tuscan sort. What ever.
P.P.S. I have not tried this with red (err purple?) grapes but if you’re feeling extra adventurous let me know how that one goes.
P.P.P.S. I didn’t include any protein powder in this kid because I didn’t want to muck with the somewhat delicate flavors. So there. Sprinkle some hemp hearts on top with those almonds if it’s bulking season.
P.P.P.P.S. My photo includes a grape slice garnish because how pretty. But in real life I did sprinkle on a boatload of almonds after snapping a few pics.
