Creamiest Peanut Butter Berry Banana Smoothie

Creamiest Peanut Butter Berry Banana Smoothie | Living Healthy in Seattle

Yep, I like my smoothies ultra thick and especially creamy.

When my smoothie can be mistaken for a milkshake, I’m a happy camper.

Because ice cream.

And who doesn’t want ice cream for breakfast?

So.

First, start with bananas.

Ripe bananas.

Green bananas should be banned.

We’re looking for all those cute little freckles, kids!

Ripe bananas are sweeter and have just the right texture for mouth-watering smoothies.

If your smoothie is going to contain frozen goodies besides banana–like this little number–simply refrigerate your naner.

You want your banana to be a chiller, but you don’t want that dude to be ice cold man.

So do a little planning ahead like a real adult and pop your nana in the fridge prior to whipping up your dream smoothie.

Now’s the time to introduce some nut butter magic!

Peanut butter, to be specific, because we all know pb is the most superior nut butter, considering both taste and texture.

So add a healthy plop + blob of the stuff to your smoothie for a punch of protein, plus healthy fat.

Don’t forget to lick the spoon clean! Maybe double dip and take a spoonful straight to the mouth for good measure.

Smooth bruh.

To get your smoothie going in the blender, you’re going to need some coconut milk “yogurt” because that stuff is lush!

Add frozen berries (I use strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries) to the mix along with a couple dashes of cinnamon and a dose of pea protein if you like.

Blend away.

P.S. Be sure to use unflavored, unsweetened coconut milk yogurt. Added sugars and funky flavors are not invited to this party.

P.P.S. Yes I love peanut butter. Yes I love fruit. Yes I love Trey Songz. Wait what?

P.P.P.S. If you want, feel free to use just one type of frozen berry. I am a fan of the variety but occasionally want all strawbs.
