We’re having dessert for breakfast again because that’s just how I roll.

Now I know I’ve introduced you to several chocolatey smoothies/shakes in the past…

Like this Nutella lover’s dream Vegan Toasted Hazelnut Banana Shake. Bomb.

This here refreshing AF Vegan Mint Chocolate Shake. (Why bother brushing your teeth after?)

And this ultra creamy Vegan Chocolate Shake… yeah there’s avocado in there, deal.

Plus this subtly fruity Chocolate Strawberry Smoothie. No need to dip individual strawberries in chocolate… just throw all that ish in a blender.

Oh and last but especially not least, this bad boy of a 4-Ingredient Vegan Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie. That’s right peeps, only FOUR ingredients.

Yes I like chocolate and double yes I like shakes.

Today I’m giving you yet another opportunity to call me crazy, because we’re blending sweet potato into our creamy dreamy chocolate shake.

Yeah you read that correctly.

Because sweet potatoes, are well, sweet and we like veggies for breakfast.

Really you mostly just taste chocolate, and I do promise this thing is GOOD.

It’s super duper thick, almost like a mousse, so hello sounds like a win already.

Andddd we got some fruit involved, a lil protein + no added sugar.

Or dairy.

You’re welcome.

All you have to do is blend up ripe frozen banana slices, cooked and chilled baked sweet potato (with the skin… less waste, more nutrients), unsweetened original almond milk, cacao powder (aka chocolate!), a dash of ground cinnamon, a splash of pure vanilla extract, a spoonful of pure protein powder (if you like), and a pinch of sea salt to bring out all those flavors.

Grab a spoon and you’re all set.

P.S. Taste and adjust the ingredient amounts to your liking… want a thinner shake? Add more almond milk.

P.P.S. I like to top mine with toasted pecans, but that’s not totally necessary. Granola is a nice touch too. Toasted coconut flakes would be YUM. Get creative… I wouldn’t say no to a melted dark chocolate drizzle. It’s time to be extra.
