She creamy and she zesty.
This protein shake really has it all, I’m telling you.
It’s uber refreshing, super duper tasty, and good for yuh!
Oh, and pretty easy to whip up.
Have you tried putting tofu in a smoothie or shake yet??
I promise it’s a good idea.
As long as you have flavorful ingredients alongside your fu, you won’t even know it’s there.
It makes shakes ultra creamy, plus, tofu also adds a respectable amount of plant-based protein.
Win and win my friends.
So all you have to do is blend up frozen extra ripe banana slices (for natural sweetness and chill factor), orange zest + orange segments, fresh lemon juice, silken tofu, pure vanilla extract, a pinch of pink sea salt to bring out all the flavors, andd a couple tablespoons of hemp hearts (optional) for an extra protein boost.
Pour her up and enjoy for breakfast, snack time, or dessert!
P.S. You read the recipe right, there is no liquid needed since the juicy oranges break down easily and make the shake blendable. I used beautiful Cara Cara oranges in the shake I photographed, but “regular” navel oranges work really well too.
P.P.S. As always, taste and adjust the ingredient amounts to suit your fancy.
P.P.P.S. I have a similar, tofu-free recipe here, if you’re really not down for the fu in your drank. But I highly encourage you to try something new!
