Sometimes all I want is some fresh fruit and nuts.

Weirdo, I know.

But I’ll forever be the biggest fan of that sweet and salty combo.

Plus, with the fruit and nut duo, you’re getting vitamins, protein, and fat!

Which means you’ll feel nice and satisfied for a couple solid hours before it’s time to chow down again.

Really this is my ideal breakfast (besides smoothies of course), but I would happily munch on a fruity, nutty bowl of goodies when in need of a hearty snack after an especially sweaty workout.

I won’t go as far as calling this a potential dessert (avoiding inevitable slaps through the screen), although the sweet factor might prevent you from inhaling an entire pint of ice cream instead of scooping out the “quaint” 1/2 cup suggested serving size.

Ha who am I kidding!

Eat the whole darn thing of ice cream if you want.

No judgement over here…

So enough with the rambling, let’s get to it.

All you have to do is layer perfectly ripened banana slices with diced juicy strawberries.

Already sounds amazing if you ask me!

To make this whole situation especially drool-worthy, drizzle on a hefty dollop of creamy almond butter then top her off with dry roasted salted macadamia nuts!

Those guys are like the nut version of real deal butter, except it’s acceptable to eat them straight. Muah ha ha.

Top your bowl off with unsweetened coconut flakes for a hit of tropical flavors or enjoy as is because I’m always a fan of simple.

Dig in.

P.S. Macadamia nuts can be priceeeeey. So, do yourself a favor and grab a big ole bag from Costco. And while you’re there, pick up some almond butter (and peanut butter). Deals for days folks!
